Mailing Guide

Here you'll find the instructions on how to send us your inclusions. Please read the following information in its entirety, and understand it completely before mailing.

How To Send Inclusions: 

Breast Milk:

  • 10ml (or 2 tsp) is needed. Do not send more than this. 
  • Breast milk must be double-bagged and the use of breast milk storage bags must be used for liquids, or the kind with the screw tops. Depending on the origin of mailing, you might have to declare is as a liquid, but a small amount of breast milk “for jewelry making purposes” or "of human origin, for therapeutic purposes" is considered nonhazardous and safe to mail. 
  • Frozen milk must be thawed before mailing. It does not matter if the milk is kept cold in the transit process. 
  • Place your milk between thick paper like card stock, or a simple greeting card to mail.
  • Any unused milk will be kept for 12 months from the date of purchase to use for future orders, and will not be returned to you. 

 


Ashes/Dirt/Sand:

  • 1/4 tsp placed in a ziplock style bag and double bagged with all the air pushed out. 
  • Place your ashes between thick paper like card stock, or a simple greeting card to mail.
  • Do not send more than this amount, and please do not send all that you have. 
  • Any unused ashes will be returned with your keepsake.


Petals:

  • 3-4 dried petals in a ziplock style bag. They may get crushed but they will in the process anyways. 
  • Place your petals between thick paper like card stock, or a simple greeting card to mail.
  • Do not send more than this amount, and please do not send all that you have. 
  • Any unused petals will not be returned. 


Placenta:

  • 1 capsule
  • Place in a ziplock style bag. 
  • Place your capsule between thick paper like card stock, or a simple greeting card to mail.
  • Do not send more than this amount, and please do not send all that you have. 
  • Any unused capsules will not be returned.


Fabric:

  • 2x2 inch square. Please note that thicker fabrics might not work (leather, wool) please message us first before purchasing. 
  • Place in a ziplock style bag. 
  • Place your fabric between thick paper like card stock, or a simple greeting card to mail.
  • Do not send more than this amount, and please do not send all that you have. 
  • Any unused fabric will not be returned.


Fur/Hair:

  • A minimum 1 inch clipping, approx 5mm wide 
  • Place half on a piece of scotch or painters tape, fold the tape over so the tape can hold half of the lock but so that the hair is not entirely stuck to the tape. 
  • Any unused hair will not be returned.


Things to Note:

  • Along with the inclusions, please include a note regarding your order number and full name. This is key to keeping your inclusions clearly marked and identified. 
  • Declare anything as "jewelry making material" on forms. 
  • You must mark the item as a gift (if mailing internationally)
  • We are not responsible for any customs or duty fees on an imported package. 
  • The Moon and Two Stars cannot be held responsible for post office loss either on the way to us or for your keepsake being sent home. Reminder: Do not send anything that you cannot obtain more of.

Turn Around Time: Due to the hand-crafted nature of the pieces and the multi-step preservation process, production time runs from 8-12 weeks from the day that the inclusions are received.
